2013 Reflections
I was in Room 8 this year and Mrs Moopanar was my Teacher.
I liked our trip to MOTAT because we got to learn about Transport. PE was fun because we get fit. Reading is cool . Reading makes us smart.
Thank you Mrs Moopanar for helping me to learn and for being kind to me.
Happy holidays Mrs Moopanar and Ms D.

3D Fish
I created a 3D (stuffed with newspaper) fish for the Rotary Xmas function.
First I drew my fish on white paper. Then I cut it up. Next I painted it. Thereafter I added some glitter to make it pretty. Finally I stuffed it with newspaper.
My 3D fish looked beautiful!

How to make porotiti
First I cut a circular piece of thick cardboard about
the size of a coffee cup.
Then I designed my circular piece of cardboard using
different coloured crayons.
Next I pierced two holes in the centre of the
cardboard circle about 1 centimetre apart.
Thereafter I threaded a piece of string through the
holes. I tied the ends together into a sturdy knot, creating a large hoop.Wednesday, 12 September 2012
How to make porotaka
To make a porotaka I used two strips of flax at
least 30 centimetres long.
The strips were both the same width.
First I folded strip
A.
Then I placed strip
B inside the fold of strip A.
Next I weaved strip
B around strip A.
Thereafter I pulled the four
ends tightly to form a square.
Then I trimmed the
blades so they are all the same length.
Finally when I finished making my porotaka, I pinned it to a stick.

A strip of Aotearoa
Firstly
I drew the sky, mountain, river, land and sea on a strip of paper using
a pencil. I then used a vivid to go over my drawing. Finally I dyed the
strip using a paintbrush and different coloured dyes.

My treasure.
My treasure is a book.
It is from New Zealand.
It has orange colour.
It is 6 years old.
It is special to our family because my great Grandpa gave it to me.

Wind pollinated flowers
The flowers are small.
The pistils are feathery.
The grains of pollen are light.
The stamens are long.
The flowers produce no nectar.
