About Room 10's literacy cycle

In Room 10 we begin our literacy cycle with the teacher modelling on a piece of Writing using an exemplar. We then go on to our topic of study. From this we create a class brainstorm. The children then create a mind map using ideas from the brainstorm. Students then start their draft writing using their brainstorm.

Thereafter they edit their work and then get a buddy to edit their work. Next they conference with the teacher. Thereafter they rewrite their story without any errors. They then rehearse their story orally. Next they get to record the digital story with teacher support. Finally they and others get to give written feedback and feed forward by posting comments on the blog.
