ANZAC Fields of Remembrance ceremony

On Thursday 23 April 2015 Glenbrae School had a
ANZAC Fields of Remembrance ceremony to remember the New Zealand soldiers that died at Gallipoli 100 years ago.

Each class came and sit at front  of school in designated area. Teachers selected children from each class to
carry crosses. We then sang Te Honore.
Next Miss Elia briefly spoke about the  purpose of the ceremony and introduced Geoff Cox from RSA. Geoff Cox spoke to us about ANZAC Day.

Thereafter the children from each class in turn placed crosses  helped by Senior Students. Then we all did a reading of Lest we Forget. Mrs Adcock played The Last Post. Finally we all silently filed back to class after The Last Post.
