Kiwican: Week 7: Term 4

Our theme for this term is Respect and our topic for today was on "Respecting others."

First we did an energiser which was called "Splash". Then we spoke about our learning intention was about how to be respectful to people who are different from us. Finally we did an activity called "Musical cones" where we had to be kind and respectful.

We enjoyed Kiwican today and learnt a lot about respect.

Hockey: Term 4; Week 7

Today room 8 played hockey on the netball courts with Lydia and learnt some new skills.

  We learnt how to juggle, tackle, zig-zag and dribble. First we played Octopus. Then we did some relay races. 

                                                             

 We had lots of fun at hockey today.

Kiwican: Term 4: week 6

Our theme for this term is Respect and our topic for today was on "Respecting others."

First we did an energiser which was called "Rock, paper, scissors". Then we spoke about our learning intention was about how we are patient and take turns. Finally we did an activity called "Ballony" where we had to be patient and take turns.

We enjoyed Kiwican today and learnt a lot about respect.

Hockey: Term 4: Week 6

Today room 8 played hockey on the netball courts with Lydia and learnt some new skills.

 We learnt how to juggle, tackle and dribble. We also learnt some tricks. Finally, we played a game called "Stuck in the mud".

 We had lots of fun and are looking forward to next week.

We departed Glenbrae at10am. We arrived at Cornwall Park at 10.30am. Then we had Morning Tea from 10.30 - 11am. Next we went with Room 7 to the Educator sessions between 11 - 12.30pm. Between 12.30 - 1.30pm we had lunch and went on the Flying Fox and Playground.
We departed from Cornwall Park at 1.30pm and arrived at Glenbrae School at 2.00pm. We really enjoyed our visit.

Kiwican: Term 4: week 5

Our theme for this term is Respect and our topic for today was on "Respecting others."

First we did an energiser which was called "Wheel tag". Then we spoke about our learning intention was about how we communicate affects how others speak to us. Then we did an activity called "Keep it going" where we had to answer some questions that Mr Numia asked.

We learnt a lot about respect from Kiwi can today and enjoyed it very much.

Stardome Observatory

Today Room 8 went to Stardome Observatory.

We departed Glenbrae at10am. We arrived at Cornwall Park at 10.30am. Then we had Morning Tea from 10.30 - 11am. Next we went with Room 7 to the Educator sessions between 11 - 12.30pm. Between 12.30 - 1.30pm we had lunch and went on the Flying Fox and Playground.

We departed from Cornwall Park at 1.30pm and arrived at Glenbrae School at 2.00pm. We really enjoyed our visit.
