The Wind and the Sun

Have you ever wondered what “The wind and the sun is all about”?

Many years ago the wind said to the sun: “I am stronger than you.” A traveller was passing by wearing a cloak. The wind tried to blow the cloak off but the man held it tighter. The sun shone brightly and the man took off his cloak off.

The sun proved to be stronger than the wind.

Air poem

Would you like to read a poem about air?

Smoking is bad
And makes me mad.
The twister
Looks like my sister
Bad air causes pollution
Good air is the solution

Rugby

Would you our like to hear about our Rip-a-tag rugby game? On Wednesday the students from Room 8 went down to the Glenbrae School court with Mrs R. Moopanar to play rugby with Hamish.

I stepped right and left to score a try. I managed to score a try which made my team win. I was tired because I ran really fast.

I enjoyed the game because it was funny. I also learnt some new skills.

Rugby

Would you like to hear about our rip-a- tag game? Yesterday the students from Room 8 of Glenbrae School and the teacher walked to the senior court because Hamish was waiting to teach us rugby.

The teams were called Samoa, Australia, Tonga and New Zealand. Samoa kept winning because they kept ripping the tags of New Zealand. We had to stop playing because it rained hard.

I enjoyed playing rugby with Hamish and I was happy because I learnt some new skills.

Term 2 Reflection

Would you like to know about what Room 8 students have learnt about in Term 2? We learnt about air. There are good things, bad things and interesting things about air.

The bad thing is air pollution. Air pollution kills about 4.6 million people each year. The good thing about air is that we can breathe in clean air. The interesting thing about air is that it is stronger than water.

I did not like term 2 because we did not have get our net books. Finally term 2 is over after 11 weeks. Yay! It's the hloiday at the end of the week.
