The structure of a flower

 The outermost parts are the leaf like sepals.

Above the sepals are the petals. 

In the centre are the fertile parts of the flower

The stamen is the male part made up of the anther and the filament.  

The pistil is the female part made up of the stigma, style and ovary.  

Fun Water Day

Last Monday the 20th February 2012 was our school fun water day.  All Glenbrae students and teachers were there and some parents and helpers were there too.  There was a red team and yellow team.  All the members of the red team and yellow team had to wear  tee shirts that were of their team colours. 


There were many activities.  Some activities were the water slide with Miss Holderness and walk the plank  with Miss Greenham  It was up on the court and Miss Pau’vale was squirting  us with the hose.  The water was cold and I was freezing.


It was a fantastic day.  My favourite part was when we went on the slide and it was fun. Finally the red team won and the yellow team lost.
