Personal Hygiene Hexagons

Each house from Room 10 created hexagons about what we knew on personal hygiene. Below is a photo of  Nikau house's hexagon.

Sunsmart hexagon

Today we created group hexagon's about "Being Sunsmart". We really enjoyed doing this activity. Below are some photos to share Nikau house's learning.

Korowai Cloak

Our Class Korowai Cloak

Each student made 2 feathers, on each feather they wrote a word that describes the type of people we have in our classroom; Honest, Responsible, Happy etc. We also have some feathers with Maori and Samoan words to celebrate language weeks

Measurement

In Maths we used a measuring tape to measure the length of our hands. My hand measured 16cm.

Matariki Star

I reflected in my maths achievement and crafted a personal goal based on my assessment on a cut out star and decorated it.

ANZAC Poppy

To make my poppy I used the following steps:

First I coloured in my poppy head in bright red.
Next I cut out the centre of the poppy. Once finished I bent it up.
Then I attached the poppy head to a green strip of paper through centre of the poppy.
Finally I cut out the small centre of the poppy and glued it on the top.

Volcano collage

We were given images of volcanoes to create a collage. 
First we ripped up tiny pieces of coloured paper.
Then we glued it onto our volcano image.
Finally we used vivid to outline the image of the volcano.

Fish Collage

             First I drew my fish. Then I ripped up pieces of coloured paper. Next I glued it onto my fish. Finally I used a vivid to draw my outlines.
