Slugs

Would you want to know how Slugs can’t always be a pest?

Native Slugs are not always a pest because they eat Fungi that makes not eat plants which makes them less of a pest.

Native Slugs kind look like mould. They only come out at night and climb up a special tree that has a slugs favourite meal growing on its leaves called Fungi. The difference between a Garden Slug and a
Native Slug is that the garden slugs has four tentacles and Native slugs have two tentacles.

Native Slugs are the kind of Slugs that should be left alone. The Native Slugs can grow up to 10 or 15 centre metres .

  1. Hi Deandra,
It is important for people to realise that not every bug is a bad bug; likewise with slugs. We grow a lot of veggies at home, and have a lot of garden slugs (especially in our brassicas - if you do not know what plants they are, you might be able to do some research), but we have also seen some Native Slugs around.
